How many times have you heard that the only way to achieve financial freedom is by cutting back on your lifestyle?
“Don’t buy that coffee.”
“You don’t need that.”
“Don’t treat yourself.”
“You can’t afford it.”
It’s the idea that, to get more, you need to live small and restrict yourself.
But you don’t need to sacrifice your lifestyle in order to have more
Too often, we think that to have more money, we need to make do with less. We limit ourselves.
What if the real path to financial freedom isn’t about cutting back but about upgrading your life to match what you truly want?
And then designing a business that helps you get there?
You deserve to dream bigger.
You deserve the life you truly want, not the life you’ve been told you can have.
To have everything you truly desire, without guilt.
And to create a future that excites you.
Build the life you want, without restrictions.
So what does that look like in practice?
1. Reimagine your ideal lifestyle
Think about the life you truly desire.
Does it involve working from anywhere, taking extended time off to travel, hiring a team to support your growth, or spending more time doing what you love?
Whatever it is, don’t shrink your vision—expand it.
Your dream life doesn’t need to be limited by what you think is “possible” today. Allow it to be expansive and limitless.
2. Next, align your business to support your vision
Once you’ve clarified the lifestyle you want, the next step is to match your business with your desires.
This isn’t about cutting back – it’s about expanding your business to match your dreams.
Ask yourself: How can I elevate the value I offer? How can I create opportunities for growth that allows me to live the life I want?
3. Then, set a financial target based on your dream lifestyle
Now that you’ve expanded your vision, it’s time to calculate how much you need to support that lifestyle.
This is where you get specific.
How much money do you need to achieve the life you want?
Once you have that number, you can break it down into clear financial goals that align with what you truly want. These could include a specific number of clients, hitting your revenue targets, increasing your profit margin, or building your savings to support your goals.
4. Finally, create a plan to bring your vision to life
Once you know the target, start planning.
What small shifts can you make in your business today to start moving toward this goal?
Maybe you need to adjust your pricing, refine your offers or increase your visibility.
Every action you take should move you closer to the life you desire.
Expand what’s possible for you.
This week, take a moment to dream big! Write down what your ideal lifestyle looks like, and how much it would cost to live that way.
And then start bringing that vision to life!
You don’t need to shrink your life to make it work.
You just need a business that’s structured to support what you actually want.
